Re: [AMD] ATP DC3

Sparky,

Not to split hair, but I have to disagree with you on the scale. Unless if
the Entex kit is wrong, which wouldn't surprise me as it has some glaring
problems such as the nose, engine cowls, etc, the Lincoln kit cannot be
1:100. It is longer than it fuselage-wise, although span-wise it is much
closer. Maybe it is closer to 1:97-1:98 or so.

But if the 1:100 decals one may have fit on it, it makes a good substitute
for 1:100, and you are right, it does has great shape; one can build a very
nice model of it with some detail parts from the Entex kit such as the
landing gear for example, as the Lincoln kit ones are very basic and crude
in comparison, or the Entex kit's engines, as the Lincoln kit has the flat
front face engines ala Hawk Convair or other releases from that
period/vintage.

And my IM repackage of it has a list price of $1.59!

PS: We are ALL getting old :)

1/100,and is a copy of the Monogram kit only smaller. It is simple with huge
rivets which are easy to remove. Its basic shape along with the Monogram kit
is the best of any DC3 kit to my eye.Of course I am getting old.
