[AMD] Nitto vs MC DC-3 [WAS: AD; 1/200 Hasegawa Airliners for sale]

> BTW, the Nitto DC-3 is 1/100 scale, not 1/96, and isn't the one sold by
ATP.

Gerry,

I don't think anyone in the thread said the Entex kit was 1:96; or did I
miss something?

Interesting statement Gerry ... you made me take them out and have a look at
both the Entex and MC kit, and some similarities are indeed uncanny, too
coincidental. I think I'll join that camp as well, and I think it is more
than a belief, a fact :) I have a feeling that if someone spends the time
to measure certain things, the scale ratios will be perfect between the two
kits.

It does make sense now; that explains MC's short vertical tail and shape,
wrong rudder line, tail cone area shape, nose shape, too-wide cockpit door
(right down to the panel line going right through it in the middle), same
type of cargo door, some parts' breakdown (such as the separate bottom
engine nacelles, engines and same nacelle arrangement), wrong prop blade
shape, mostly similar scribing, etc.

Those of you that have both of these kits take them out and have a look,
you'll notice it too.

The funny thing is that the Starline 1:150 DC-3 (another ancient DC-3 kit!)
has more correct proportions!
