As the author of the Internet Modeler review on the Twin Otter, I will add a few more comments to the review.
1. Wing struts. The way to get them to fit is, glue the wings in place, making sure of the correct positive dihedral. Hold one of the struts up to the engine nacelle. While holding this, place the landing gear sponson in its hole and move it up so they touch. Dab a bit of glue to the sponson. The sponson should hold the strut in place. I found I had to slightly bend the ends of the strut to match the engine nacelle.
2. Noses. I see nothing wrong with either nose shapes.
3. Yokes. I said that the yokes were too tall, no it's the dash. I added 2.5mm to the bottom.
4. Props. This is a sore spot with me. Of all of the completed models I have seen, eight out of ten do not have the props correct. Once again, "…the prop blades need to be twisted 90 degrees. The blades go into feather on the PT-6 engines during shutdown."
So many people don't bother to look at real Twin Otters.
5. Wing Fence. I filled in the trench on the wing and made new fences from thinner sheet stock.
These notes come from building my Twin Otter. I'm doing the U.S.F.S. "Jump 41" paint scheme. I should have it done shortly.
