AW: [AMD] How to Glue Resin Fuselage Halves?

Hi Walter and friends,

for gluing resin parts together I use 3- or 5-minute two components epoxy
glue, which usually can be mixed in 1:1 proportions (adhesive / hardener).
With a five minute epoxy you have about 3 minutes left to fit the parts
together, align them and - if you want - fix them with tape to hold the
parts aligned during curing of the glue. Even in the 4th minute you can
carefully modify the position of the parts to each other. Another advantage
of 2 component epoxy glue is that it is less brittle than cynacrylate
joints. So I like to use a small portion of epoxy to make the gear strut
joints to the wing or fuselage more solid, I add these small drops with the
tip of a toothprick, which allows fairly precise positioning.
I use cyanacrylates mainly for tiny parts such as antennae, side struts of
gear struts, etched parts etc.

But I´d like to read the views of others, so far I have learnt quite a lot
via this forum.

Kind regards

Wolfgang

Re:
So again, would you guys please share some of your techniques on gluing the
fuselage halves with me?
Thanks in advance!
