Re: [AMD] Re: What are the most sort after Hasegawa 1/200 Airliner models?

All Hasegawa would have to do for the GE 747 Classics is reissue the E-4B, then they would have a classic 747 on the market in USAF colors and as such they wouldn't need to get permission from an airline to use their logos. It is pretty easy to do an E-4B up as a civilian jet.

I would certainly agree that the RR & GE 747 kits are rarer and I think the simple reason is that, especially in the case of RR, there are fewer operators than for P&W.  Hasegawa certainly could have issued more 747 Classics with GE engines as many major Asian and European airlines used these engines; perhaps as I said in another e-mail, they were not able to get permission from the airlines.  It's amazing to me that they even bothered to tool the 2 versions of the RR engines used on 747s as they've only ever (to my knowledge) issued them with QANTAS decals.  Given that they've covered QANTAS & Ansett quite well over the years I assume 1:200 scale airlines are popular there.

Hello Tony. I think that kit is a rare one. I was wondering if the following Hasegawa kits are also most sought after.

Qantas 747-400 with the latest version RR RB211 engines
Delta 727-200 with widget scheme(Hasegawa/ Minicraft)
United "U" scheme 747-200
ANA 747-200 with GE CF56 engines with Triton blue scheme
ANA 727-200, 737-200 combi kit Triton blue scheme

I had mentioned the two 747 kits that have Rolls Royce and GE engines because those I noticed were extremely rare when I did see them. Can anyone verify if the GE and RR engine versions were produced less than the PW engines?
